Synopsis:

This free event is open to everyone and is a joint event between the BCS Manchester Branch and MMU’s School of Computing, Mathematics & Digital Technology. Light refreshments will be available from 6pm, talk 6.30pm.

As we approach the launch of Microsoft’s radical new operating system, Mike Halsey, author of Troubleshooting Windows 7 Inside Out and several forthcoming books about Windows 8, will talk about what Microsoft have presented so far including the latest news and releases from Redmond, their motives for making such radical changes, and looks towards the significant additions promised for the beta. Followed by a Q&A.
