Professionalism and Making IT good for society

6.00pm for 6.30pm start, presentation to 8.00pm followed by networking (approx. half an hour)

Cost:
Free to attend for both BCS Members and non-members.

All welcome. Registration is essential. Refreshments and pastries are available before 6:30pm, while sandwiches, cakes, fruit and wine will be provided during the networking session from around 7.45pm onwards.

Paul Martynenko, BCS President

Synopsis:

Paul was Vice President and Technical Executive for IBM in Europe before retiring in August 2016. Joining IBM in the late 1970s, Paul held a variety of technical, professional, management, and executive positions across IBM, in development, delivery, product support, and sales and distribution. He was the IBM IT specialist profession leader in UK and Europe for 10 years.

Paul is a Fellow of BCS and served as a member of the BCS Professionalism Board from 2008 - 2011, becoming its Chair in 2011. He was elected as a BCS Vice President, Professionalism and became a Trustee of BCS in 2014. Paul was named as Deputy President last year.
