Celebrating digital transformation

The Paperless Awards 2017 recognise organisations that are making IT good for society through innovative programmes designed to transform and enhance the public sector.

Digital transformation and the journey to paperless environments are key governmental objectives.

The Paperless Awards recognise, celebrate and reward the people, teams and the organisations that have made significant steps towards achieving a paperless future.

Winners will be announced at a lavish black tie gala dinner on 6 July 2017.

BCS is proud to support The Paperless Awards and is looking forward to helping judge entries from across the public sector.

The Paperless Awards very much align with BCS’ core focus - making IT good for society.

The impact of IT on modern society is greater than ever. It's down to all of us to ensure it is positive. BCS is engaging with partners, organisations, government and individuals by addressing the wider issues around the role of technology in society.

In its recent Digital Leaders survey 2017, BCS saw business transformation and organisational change top a list of 10 managerial priorities for this year. Operational efficiencies and strategic planning completed the top three business concerns.

Paperless Awards category specific criteria include:

  • Innovation, imagination and ambition
  • Clear strategy
  • Good management
  • Value for money
  • Evidence that the project made a difference to customer service
  • Evidence the project achieved - or is well on the way to achieving - what it set out to do

The deadline for entries is 31 March 2017 and entrants from across the public sector are welcomed. Shortlist finalists will be announced 3 May 2017.
