What are the challenges and opportunities for the BCS now and in the future?

At this event, new BCS President Paul Martynenko talks about pptx:

  • People
  • Professional bodies
  • Technology
  • Xciting challenges and opportunities of the future.

Paul was the Vice President and Technical Executive for IBM in Europe before retiring in August 2016. Joining IBM in the late 1970s, Paul held a variety of technical, professional, management, and executive positions across IBM, in development, delivery, product support, and sales and distribution. He was the IBM IT specialist profession leader in UK and Europe for 10 years.

Paul says: “I’m really excited for this coming year as we celebrate our 60th anniversary. I will be using my term as President to reflect on the achievements of the Institute over the last 60 years, and to highlight how it continues to be just as relevant to the profession today. When we look at the profession now, compared to when the BCS was established in 1957, it really is an extraordinarily different world, yet through all that change, BCS has remained constant in its ambition of Making IT Good for Society”.
