BCS Computer Arts at the BBC

20 November 2012

BCS’s computer arts columnist Catherine Mason appeared on Front Row, BBC Radio 4’s arts programme. She spoke about computer arts and the work of Manfred Mohr and Ernest Edmonds, which came about partly due to her article on the BCS website in November.

The article on Manfred Mohr, a pioneer in the use of algorithms and computer programs for art-making, has been very well-received in the arts community.

Listen to Catherine’s contribution (she is about halfway through).

Catherine Mason is the author of A Computer in the Art Room: the origins of British computer arts 1950-80, published in 2008, and a committee member of the BCS Computer Arts Society.
