Play at work - how behaving like a toddler can make you more effective

Synopsis:

Has the spark gone out of your work? Do you struggle to keep up with change? The answer may not be to work harder, but to play more. You don't need to have a tantrum in the middle of the office, but there are significant benefits to imitating the way children play and learn. Play can help you grow and develop your professional skills in ways other approaches can't, and have fun whilst you do it.

This talk will help you understand and implement play in the workplace. We'll look at the different types of play, what function it fulfils, and how it makes companies successful. Then we'll look at how you can integrate more play into your working life and your organisation.

Bio:

Matthew Bellringer is founder of Meaningbit LTD, a startup which helps organisations and their people grow and innovate together. He has worked in IT for over fifteen years, largely in education and the third sector.
