SYNOPSIS
Mental Health in the Agile Workplace

Mental health is something that will affect most of us. The tech industry is high-paced and high pressure, and this means that we may be leaving some developers to struggle. This talk will examine how mental health can affect workload, particular in things such as meetings and code review. We will then think about ways to improve these processes for everybody so that they are helpful and not a hindrance.

Mental health awareness - a personal story

Andy Shaw is very passionate about promoting mental health awareness, preventing the stigma surrounding it & encouraging people to talk about it. Andy's talk includes his experiences of mental health, including the loss of a close family member who he loved dearly, and why mental health awareness is close to his heart. His talk also includes some fascinating statistics about mental health and how mental health awareness is essential to helping others & the wider community.
