Watch the video

Synopsis

This year's AGM will be a virtual event that begins with a talk from the current chair, Andrew Simpson, on Computing in Healthcare & State Registration.

Andrew's talk on Clinical Computing will discuss areas of Clinical Computing that are already regulated, and how professionals can become registered as a Health Care Professions Council Clinical Scientist in Computing/Bioinformatics, to apply their computing skills at the intersection of medicine, patient care and clinical research, as a registered healthcare professional.

Andrew will talk about his experiences of coming from a computer science background into a clinical role.

This will then lead into the AGM, where all members of the branch are permitted to nominate for any of the branch roles.
