Synopsis

This talk will focus on identification of Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Education challenges and potential solutions in Higher Educational Institutions’.

The talk will focus on the challenges faced during the COVID, what can be possible- actions plans to address the challenges and how cloud computing can held to shed overcome the challenges.

The talk will also highlight the future directions which we need to consider in cyber education.

Delivering Cyber education is very challenging due to the nature of the programmes in the domain focus on specialized tools and infrastructure to deliver the education.

During COVID universities and colleges across the global were struggling to design a roadmap to cover cyber education delivery challenge specially in the distance learning.

This talk will focus on identification of Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Education challenges and potential solutions in Higher Educational Institutions’.

About the speaker 

Dr. Mazhar Malik (PhD, CEng, CITP, FBCS, SMIEEE, SFHEA, MACM, MIET,MASEE) is Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies at UWE-Bristol.

Prior to this he was working as Programme Director/Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at Cardiff School of Technologies at Cardiff Metropolitan University and was working as Associate Professor/ Head of Computing and IT (CIT) at the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Oman.

Dr. Malik has 7+ experience as Head of academic departments (2015-2022) and he was leading programme design and development at GCET, Oman since 2017 to 2022 and contributed in the developed MSc Data Science, BSc(Hons) Computer Security and Forensics, BSc(Hons) Business Computing and BSc(Hons) Computer Science pathway to Smart Devices and Artificial Intelligence along with Programme leadership of BSc(Hons) Computer Security and Forensics from 2017 to 2022 and MSc Data Science leadership from 2020-2021 while working at GCET, Oman with partnership of UWE-Bristol.

Dr. Malik is an assessor for (BCS) British Computer Society for FBCS, serving as programme reviewer MOHERI and OAAA-Oman, China and Malaysia for engineering and technology undergraduate and post graduate programmes.
