Synopsis

BCS ISSG and FINSIG are delighted to host a joint event along with BCI on the topics of DORA and Service Resilience. Two expert speakers will talk for around 20-minutes each. This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring specialists from BCS and BCI. We hope you can join us and join in.

About the speakers

Diana CojocaruDiana Cojocaru

Diana Cojocaru is a Privacy and Cyber Security Consultant at Decalex Digital. She has a diverse background in law, cybersecurity, and data protection, with a master’s degree in Crisis and Security Management, specializing in Cybersecurity Governance. Diana has honed her expertise in navigating complex legal and technical landscapes, ensuring compliance with EU laws and regulations. She is also a member of BCS London Branches and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Tim WilliamsTim Williams

Tim D Williams FBCS CITP MCIIS, one of our BCS ISSG committee members, is an experienced Security Architect and part-time educator with many years of banking sector experience.

Tim also conducts independent research and has longstanding interests in the interplays between governance and regulation initiatives and operational resilience.

In this talk Tim will critically explore both potential shortcomings in the thinking behind DORA and operational resilience challenges beyond the scope of DORA which many financial sector organisations need to focus on.
