A message from the founder of Ada Lovelace Day:

“We’d love to tell you about this year’s Ada Lovelace Day Live, in London on 11 October. We’ve got Early Bird tickets on sale now, which are going fast!

This year, we’re hosted by The IET Women’s Network at Savoy Place, London, with a cash bar from 6.30pm and performance from 7.30pm.

As ever, we have an amazing line up of speakers for you, including design engineer Yewande Akinola, planetary physicist Dr Sheila Kanani, science writer Dr Kat Arney, web developer Jenny Duckett, mathematician Dr Sara Santos, computational biologist Dr Bissan Al-Lazikani, and climate scientist Dr Anna Jones.

Early Bird tickets are just £10, and are available until midnight, 31 August, or until they sell out. There are only 60 left, so that might be soon! General Entry tickets will be £20 and Concessions £5, and will go on sale on 1 September, or when there are no Early Bird tickets left.

You might also like to know about some of our other projects:

  • Our database of resources for women in STEM and teachers
  • Our new podcast, exploring the work and careers of women in STEM
  • Our free education pack for teachers
  • Two books about women in STEM, as well as posters and stationery

Finally, we’d be grateful if you took a moment to fill in our short audience survey to help us understand your needs so that we might better support them.

We hope to see you at ALD Live 2016 on 11 October, and please do feel free to forward this email on to anyone else you feel might enjoy our science cabaret!

Best regards,
Suw Charman-Anderson
