Virtual Communication has overtaken our lives - we are frequently emailing, blogging, tweeting, web conferencing and collaborating in cyberspace, it clearly has many advantages in how quickly we can share information, opinions and beliefs, save time and money and of course the technologies that support virtual communication are making it easier and easier to communicate virtually!

But is that all good news or are we missing something here? Should we take just a take a small step back and pay more attention how a certain communication method impacts on the message, and what happens to our messages when we communicate virtually?

Clearly we do not have body language or eye contact to rely on when communicating virtually so more care needs to be taken in crafting the message and selecting the most appropriate tool.
