Synopsis:

Main speaker: Richard Holloway

Richard will present an experience report on what happened when Enterprise Agile met a highly visible customer-facing project within the financial sector.

Set against a backdrop of a traditional banking organisation rolling out agile on an industrial scale, this is a case study covering five development teams across three continents working collaboratively towards a common goal.

Covering the project’s highs and lows, Richard in true agile retro fashion will discuss what went well, what didn't go well as well as the learning points that arose.

About the speaker:

Richard has been working in the finance sector for longer than he cares to remember, including stints at organisations such as RBS, HSBC and Deutsche Bank. During this time he has covered roles in a variety of technology disciplines including project management, business analysis and most recently, product ownership.

In recent years he has become a convert to Agile practices (Scrum in particular), working on a number of enterprise-sized projects in the Foreign Exchange domain.  He is experienced in managing delivery across geographically dispersed teams. In particular, he has spent a year working with a new offshore team in India

Outside of work, he has built a set of iOS educational apps, all available in the iTunes App store.
