Jerry Fishenden (FBCS)

Jerry was appointed by the House of Commons as the Specialist Advisor for their ground-breaking inquiry into Government IT. He contributed to "Better for Less" - the independent report that helped kick-start the UK's evidence-based digital reform agenda and interest in technology as a policy lever. Jerry is a co-author of the best-selling business title "Digitizing Government: understanding and implementing new digital business models", a playbook for delivering fundamental improvements in large, complex organisations.

He is a Director and CTO at VoeTek Ltd, working with a variety of clients. Recent sample engagements include: Technical Consultant to the National Audit Office; Chief Technical Advisor, UK Home Office; UK Government Deputy CTO (interim); technical and business guidance to various start-ups and not-for-profits. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Surrey's Centre for the Digital Economy and a judge of the annual CIO 100 awards.

Jerry is the former Chief Technology Officer and IT business leader for various private and public sector organisations including: Microsoft UK; the City of London financial regulator; Parliament; and the NHS. ~30 year track record of technology and business leadership, including the delivery of platform-based, internet-scale technical architectures.
