The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be followed by a talk on 'Leadership Skills for Project Managers' by Susanne Madsen.

Agenda

The Group will meet to transact the following business:

  • Welcome and Introductions
  • Apologies for absence
  • Minutes from the previous 2013-2014 AGM (available online)
    • Matters arising from the minutes?
    • Accept 2013-2014 AGM Minutes

2014 - 2015 AGM Slides

  • A report from the Chair and others on the activities for the year
  • A report from the Treasurer, including a review of income and expenditure for the year ending 31 August 2015.
  • NO amendments to the PROMS-G Constitution proposed
  • Election of Chair and Treasurer and other committee members
  • Any other nominated business. (must be sent in advance)
  • AGM Ends

Items for inclusion on the AGM agenda must be received no later than fourteen days prior to the meeting and should be emailed to the PROMS-G Secretary at:-promsg.sec@bcs.org.uk.

Please go to the secured members’ area of our website to view the previous PROMS-G AGM minutes and the current AGM slides, in advance of the meeting.  Members should email any AGM queries or comments to the PROMS-G Secretary (promsg.sec@bcs.org.uk) no later than 30 September 2015.

Any PROMS-G member wishing to become a Committee Member must download a nomination form from the secured member’s area of the PROMS-G website and email it to the PROMS-G Secretary no later than noon on Monday 14 September 2015.

Please note that only PROMS-G members (any grade) are eligible to stand for election to the committee or vote during the AGM.

Talk Description:

For projects to succeed and have lasting impact, project managers must be able to strategize, innovate, motivate, empower and collaborate - in other words, project managers must learn how to lead.

In this thought provoking talk, Susanne Madsen will discuss the differences between management and leadership and how it relates to you as a project manager.
