Presenter: Patrick Mayfield

What does good communication look and feel like? The answer to that question very much depends on your own level of maturity as a leader. For some, it is simply about getting a clear message across in a timely manner. For others it is much, much more…

The more competent communicators show remarkable project performance. Increasingly, senior managers are looking for the kind of project manager who can influence on a wider stage. In these volatile, complex and ambiguous times there is an even greater need for people with higher order communications skills, skills that many management texts and courses seem to completely ignore.

In this first presentation in the Spring School, Patrick Mayfield will lead you through different levels of competence, showing you what matters to a project manager at each level. Wherever you are, He will invite you to develop your communications skills to the next level, and suggest some ways you can improve your ability to influence those around you.
