The Configuration Management Specialist Interest Group of the BCS, the CMSG, recently changed their name and scope to become the Change, Release and Configuration Management Specialist Interest Group.

This presentation explains the content, structures and relationships of the CM disciplines and the impact that the lack of attention to these disciplines can have on an organisation in the terms of cost, quality, risk and speed to market. It also advises on how to get started on assessing the effectiveness and importance to your own organisation.
