Solent Retired Members Section - Lecture Programme

Organised by the IET, in conjuction with BCS, aimed at retired members, but all are welcome.

This session and demonstration seeks to answer questions. Richard Moore will bring along his Raspberry Pi and give a whistle-stop tour of its features, installation and use. In order to give some information away we should say that the Raspberry Pi is an extra-ordinarily inexpensive computer with huge potential as an education aid and for serious work. It is 2012's answer to the fondly remembered BBC micro, but at a fraction of the price and considerably more computing power to its elbow.
