Synopsis

There are several ways to achieve ISO certification. One way that is always popular is to do the minimum, create the documentation necessary and try to fool the auditor. An experienced auditor usually can identify the issues and report that the practices have not been implemented as expected.

The other approach is to understand the purpose and goal of the practices and requirements. We are not asking for documentation; we are asking for communication and traceability. The objective is not to enact a series of activities and produce reports; it is to change the culture of the organisation to work consistently and continuously, at all levels, on improvement.
