Vacancy: Programme Engagement Lead

The Programme Engagement Lead is responsible for planning and delivering engagement activity across a range of programmes and audiences aimed at making measurable impact on the delivery of those programmes.

The role owns communications and content including newsletters, online forums and events. It supports the wider partnerships development function by sustaining stakeholder networks and creating engagement infrastructure that informs partnership development and policy influence.

Key responsibilities:

Community Building and Network Development

• Develop and maintain active communities of practice and stakeholder networks relevant to BCS's strategic partnerships and programme activity.
• Identify and recruit key participants including practitioners, educators and sector leaders to strengthen community engagement.
• Design and deliver engagement activities including online forums, roundtables, webinars and community events.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

• Map stakeholder relationships across key communities, identifying opportunities for deeper engagement and partnership development.
• Build and sustain relationships with external stakeholders across education, employers, professional networks and civil society.
• Act as a visible, credible BCS presence in relevant external communities and forums.
• Support the funding renewal process, working closely with colleagues to plan and produce contributions including impact reports, insights, case study and testimonies.

Content and Communication

• Plan and produce regular newsletters, blogs, updates and social content tailored to specific audiences.
• Coordinate with the marketing team on integrated campaigns and audience engagement briefs.
• Ensure all community-facing content is consistent with BCS's strategic messaging and brand guidelines.

Insight and Intelligence

• Monitor community sentiment and activity, reporting key themes and intelligence.
• Identify partnership development opportunities emerging from community engagement.
• Contribute to policy and programme development by surfacing insights and needs from community networks.

Events and Programme Delivery

• Lead planning and delivery of community events across the portfolio.
