Karen Spärck Jones was Professor of Computing and Information at the University of Cambridge and one of the most remarkable women in computer science. A Fellow of the British Academy, she had a long, rich and remarkable career as a pioneer of information science from the very early days of computing. Find out more

This lecture series builds on the activities to celebrate, inform and support women engaged in computing research. These include the annual London Hopper Colloquium, providing networking opportunities for early career researchers, and the undergraduate Lovelace Colloquium, for women starting out on a research career.
