Q: Do I have to be a student from Solent University?
A: No you don't! It's more than recommended to join us on Monday to network with other students and be part of a team if you are not coming with a premade team.

Q: Do I have to be a full-time HE student?
A: Full-time, part-time, any-time students are allowed to enter!

Q: Do all the team members have to be HE students?
A: Yes, as this is primarily a student competition. In the cases where someone is not currently studying at Solent, they will be required to prove their student status.

Q: What's the minimum and maximum team size?
A: Teams must be of at least 1 up to 5 people maximum.

Q: Can I come in with a premade team?
A: Yes, and in fact it's highly recommended! Also try to be as diverse as you can.

Q: What are the awards and prizes?
A: There will be certificates awarded to winners,plus the following awards for the top 3:

  • 1st Place Rewards: All 2nd Place Rewards plus: Unity Plus Licenses for each student
  • 2nd Place Rewards: All 3rd Place Rewards plus: Unity T-Shirts for each student
  • 3rd Place Rewards: Unity & SuperHot Stickers, Unity Badges, Hangar 13 Bags & Mobigrips for each student

Q: What entries are acceptable?
A: Acceptable entries are 2D or 3D Video Games, Card Games, Board Games and PC / Mobile, VR/AR Games!

Q: I am not studying in the games course. Can I still join?
A: This is open to everyone! We are welcoming Programmers, Artists, Audio Engineers, Composers, Game Designers, CGI Specialists, Animators, Level Designers and much much more!

Q: Is this limited to 2nd or 3rd year students only?
A: This is open to all years!

Q: Me or my team-mates can't make it as they don't live close to Solent University. Can we still participate?
A: YES, you can work remotely if you like! Just send a mail to kostas.dokos@solent.ac.uk if you are doing so, and I can let you know of the theme and the registration link! Just remember at least one member from your team needs to represent the team in JM310 on Friday so you can present your game to be considered for judging!
