SYNOPSIS
The advancing adoption of digital technologies and data systems across society are in parallel creating a new paradigm across energy and transport which is both undermining fossil fuel economics and ushering in a new democratisation of entire value chains.

This new digital and sustainable energy revolution, therefore, offers an economic and effective pathway to combatting climate change.

The recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report at the Katowice Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Poland suggests that urgent steps are necessary to accelerate the global mitigation of advancing climate change. Energy generation and supply together with transport, contributes a majority of present carbon emissions, in addition to damaging levels of air pollution.
