Cyber Resilience - An often misunderstood and under-defined practice at many organizations has started to come to the fore in light of increasing digital threats to their critical assets, sustain the ability to operate and the need to adapt quickly to major and extreme disruptions. It is also an amalgamation of three distinct yet complimenting specializations that help businesses withstand tsunamis of different orders. Biju Hameed, an evangelist in the area of pragmatic & adaptive cybersecurity, shares views on how this practice of disruption readiness and management needs to be approached and made an integral part of plans in navigating the new digital world order and the risks it brings about.
About the speaker
Biju Hameed CISSP CISM CISA CRISC CCSP MBCS is a seasoned cybersecurity leader & international speaker with over eighteen years of extensive experience in the areas of cybersecurity management & operations with in depth knowledge on technology & business domains.
In the past, he has worked in various roles within the infrastructure and security domains with organizations such as Schlumberger, Total, Atos Origin and on projects for various government agencies, defense and service providers across the Middle East.
Professionally, he heads up the Cybersecurity & Resilience practice at a Dubai entity in a full time role. He is currently on a job rotation assignment at his organization where he is leading the Technology Service Management function and then a switch to lead Infrastructure operations in the second half of 2020 before returning to his primary role at the end of the year.
Biju holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science & Engineering and has several professional certifications to his credit including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, ISO 27001 & 9001 Implementation/LAC, and others. He is also currently finalizing his Master’s degree in Network Security ant Heriot Watt Dubai.
He regularly speaks at local and global conferences and strongly advocates the need for cybersecurity to be agile, innovative and a cultural practice.
