Synopsis

In the last few years, billions of pounds have been invested in technology innovation and fintechs by the largest financial services firms such as; Santander, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citi, Bank of America, UBS, etc. At the same time, fintechs backed by VCs, are evolving to offer more and more sophisticated products e.g. Banking-as-a-Service platforms.

How can incumbents lead within such disruptive ecosystems?

While new propositions enable brands and merchants to quickly and cheaply integrate innovative financial services into customer experiences, do incumbents have an appetite for collaboration that could potentially lead to disintermediation?

With regulatory considerations in mind, what type of partnerships do you envisage going forward?
