Synopsis

As someone who studied Ancient Greek and Latin at Uni, I haven’t come from a traditional tech background but since finishing my degree, I’ve been really passionate about carving a career in tech. I gained experience in a few Junior Business Analyst roles before landing a job as a BA at AO. I’d heard so many good things about the company I currently work for and I wanted to work with them.

Despite working in a male dominated industry, I’ve always felt empowered as a woman to progress my career. In October, I moved into a new role as a Product Owner and I now collaborate with stakeholders to develop the strategy, which we then work on as a team.

There's an assumption that tech is all about coding, but my role is very customer focused. We try to understand what the customer wants from us and make sure that they have the best possible experience.

Working from home was initially a challenge but as a team, we’ve really adapted our ways of working, with plenty of social chats and coffee breaks.
I find the culture so inclusive and I always feel like I can talk openly about my mental health & wellbeing. It’s a really supportive community. This webinar is about my journey and where my BCS Business Analyst qualification took me.

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.

For overseas delegates who wish to attend the event, please note that BCS does not issue invitation letters.
