Synopsis

Advanced digital assistants? Scary alien technology? Friendly or threatening? Helping or hindering? Do you worry about childrens' screen use? About government spying?

What about the digital divide? As more and more public and private services assume digital access as the default, those without full access to digital services will be increasingly excluded. How do we avoid this?

Are you concerned about issues of privacy? Who is tracking you on the Internet and how? What do they know about you? To what uses will that data be put? Do I have any control at all over my personal information? Do you know what safeguards and remedies are available to you?

This is your chance to ask computer and information technologists the questions most in your mind. The Sussex Branch of the BCS invites everyone to come along digitally, voice concerns, ask questions and hopefully even get some answers from the collective wisdom of the assembled committee and members.

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.
