Synopsis
Moving to the Cloud Securely with DevSecOps
Cloud technologies can bring great advantages from commercial savings to resilience, but these benefits can come at a cost if we aren't careful. With products, services, and projects being pushed to the Cloud efforts must be made to use Cloud carefully and in the correct way. From lifting-and-shifting to using Cloud-native resources, we'll talk about:
- DevSecOps - how it is, and how it should be
- Go, Move, Shift - Dealing with project pressures
- Can we move at speed and stay secure?
- Once I'm there, how can I stay safe?
About the speaker
Vince King
Vince King is Head of DevSecOps for Cloud Transformation at the Bank of England. With more than 20 years’ experience working on software development projects both large and small, he is a reformed developer, SDLC advocate, and secure coding trainer. As a leader of Agile working practices within the Bank, Vince also has experience in supporting awareness and education programmes.
Vince has practical expertise in strategic leadership across multiple cyber security disciplines, including, incident response, risk management, vulnerability management, and Cloud transformation. He is a CISSP and CITP, and is passionate about mentoring others to achieve recognition for their work through engagement with the British Computer Society.
