Synopsis

The Skills Framework for the Information Age - is now in its 23rd year; SFIA version 8 was released in 2021. Driven by our 3-year refresh/update cycle, SFIA version 9 is scheduled for late 2024.

In this event, Ian Seward, General Manager, SFIA Foundation, will introduce how SFIA v9 is being developed and what key themes are emerging.

This session will include:

  • A brief introduction to the SFIA Foundation and the SFIA Skills and Competency Framework.
  • An update on our work for the next release of SFIA (version 9) and how you can get involved.
  • An update on our work in support of the global SFIA user community.

About the speaker

Ian Seward

An experienced senior manager and consultant; security cleared, PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner and Chartered IT Professional having worked in aerospace, pharmaceutical, utilities, financial services, management consultancy and the public sector.

I have led and mentored several transformation and change initiatives to improve delivery capability including a global onshore-offshore integration programme across many countries, including the UK, the US, Canada, Brazil, the Philippines, China, India and other European and LatAm countries.
