Synopsis

Graham will share his project management experiences of working in IT in the pharmaceutical industry. Starting with an introduction to the unique challenges associated with Quality Critical Pharmaceutical “GxP” systems, Graham will share his project management experiences and discuss emerging challenges for the industry.

The session will consider how the IT lifecycle and system delivery processes have improved (or not), challenges of delivering into complex, matrix managed global organisations, some examples of specific project challenges and some thoughts on challenges that the industry faces going forward.

About the speaker

Graham Parker

Graham Parker is an Aberystwyth graduate and has worked exclusively in the Pharmaceutical and Regulated industries for over 20 years. His early years were as a specialist in IT Quality and Computer System Validation of IT systems for use in pharmaceutical quality critical systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. For over 10 years he has focused on project and programme management of system delivery.

Recent and current projects include full IT road map design and system delivery for a company moving into Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Site Implementation Manager for all automation and digital aspects of a new £150M+ sterile manufacturing facility to provide a full, Pharma 4.0, paperless manufacturing facility, Product owner for a bespoke Batch Release Cockpit to support improved product release by QPs and Strategic guidance and support for Vein-to-Vein and Supply Chain Systems to support Cell & Gene Therapy manufacturing and delivery to patient.
