Synopsis
Join BCS Hertfordshire for AI Ignite, an engaging and practical workshop designed to equip students and aspiring developers with the essential skills to build, deploy, and scale AI-powered applications using intelligent APIs.
This session will walk attendees through the real-world process of developing an AI-integrated application—from understanding the role of APIs, to effectively using them in app development, and finally deploying solutions that can handle real-world user demand.
Whether you’re just starting out in AI or looking to enhance your skills in smart integrations, this workshop will give you the practical knowledge and confidence to build scalable AI apps.
SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Akinyemi is a dynamic ML/AI Engineer and Technical Solution Architect with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), IoT, and automation.
He currently works with IBM iUG and Essist Omikron on enterprise AI projects, helping businesses deploy scalable AI systems using platforms like IBM Cloud and Power10.
He is passionate about community empowerment and has actively mentored students and ethnic minorities in the UK, supporting their journey into tech through practical guidance, documentation support, and referrals.
With two MSc degrees and experience building widely-used Python tools, Akinyemi blends technical excellence with real-world impact. Akinyemi also served as Vice President of the BCS Wolverhampton Student Chapter from November 2023 to June 2024, contributing to student-led initiatives and hybrid events focused on upskilling and innovation in Wolverhampton and beyond.
Akinyemi continues to lead with purpose, making complex technologies accessible and impactful for everyone.
