Who is it for?
- Principally aimed at anyone involved in software testing, it will also be of interest to project managers, quality managers, business analysts and IT directors or management consultants.
Entry requirements
- There are no formal entry requirements however, the candidate should have a basic working IT knowledge. It's recommended that all candidates attend a BCS accredited training course.

Please note:
The CTFL Syllabus 4.0 is the latest released version of the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certification.
Syllabus version 3.1 (2018) will continue to be available until 9th May 2024.
Holders of the CTFL 3.1 and any previous versions continue to hold a valid certification. However, it is possible to take the CTFL 4.0 exam should you wish to update your qualification.

When you achieve the certificate you can appear on the Successful Candidate Register (SCR).
What format is the exam?
- One hour 'closed book' with 40 multiple choice questions
- Pass mark is 65% (26/40)
