Important announcement: Higher Education Qualifications (HEQ)
As the Chartered Institute for IT, it is our responsibility to ensure our qualifications are continually reviewed and updated to ensure they support the needs and demands of the future workforce.
Following a strategic review of our entire qualification portfolio, we have taken the decision to implement a three year withdrawal process for the following:
BCS Level 4 Certificate in IT - 100/6181/2
BCS Level 5 Diploma in IT - 100/6190/3
BCS Level 6 Professional Graduate Diploma in IT - 100/6191/2
Important dates to be aware of:
The last date for your candidates to SIT or RESIT an exam for the above qualifications will be the April 2026 session. There will be no further sessions offered beyond this date including resits.
The last date for learners to register will be 28th February 2026 for standard venues. For candidates wishing to sit a non-standard venue, the deadline is the 17th February 2026.
Registration closes on 28th February 2026 and there will be no opportunity for registrations beyond this date.
We will issue all certificates by September 2026
The last submission of Project Proposals was 31st August 2025. We will not accept any Project Proposals beyond this date.
The last submission of Professional Projects will be 28th February 2026. We will not accept any Professional Projects beyond this date.
For candidates in Mauritius the submission deadline was 31st January 2026. Professional Project Submissions are no longer possible.
