Our AGM
Every year, our members come together to discuss our progress from the previous year, the current challenges we are facing in the digital world and the strategies to help us develop over the following 12 months.
AGM 2027
All members are invited to join us at our next in-person AGM, which will be supported by a live online stream. The AGM will be held on Wednesday 3 March 2026 at 14:00 GMT at the BCS London Office, 25 Copthall Avenue, London EC2R 7BP. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow members, have your say on our future, and vote for the candidates you would like to see on BCS Council.
BCS Council
BCS Council is a vital part of BCS Governance and aim to represent our diverse membership. Members of Council meet approximately four times per year and offer advice to the Trustee Board on the direction and operation of the Institute.
BCS is committed to improving equality and diversity in the profession, and we particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups, including women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodiverse candidates.
Nomination for Elections to Council
At BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, we are dedicated to making IT good for society. As part of this mission, we uphold the highest professional standards across the IT industry. If you are passionate about upholding the integrity of the IT profession and are considering sharing your unique perspective and values this is an exciting opportunity to widen your network and influence the professional body for IT.

Voting on the candidates for election to Council will open early February 20267 and the results will be announced at the AGM on 3 March 2027.
