Together, BCS and LDN Apprenticeships have won a prestigious award that highlights their shared commitment to partnership and supporting apprentices' success.
BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is proud to have been named winner of the AO/EPAO and Provider Relationships of the Year Partnership category at the 2025 FAB Awards, recognising its outstanding collaboration with LDN Apprenticeships.
This award celebrates a relationship that has not only delivered exceptional results for learners and employers but has also helped shape the future of digital apprenticeships in the UK.
Speaking about the awards, BCS’ Annette Allmark, Executive Director, Awarding & Assessment, said: ‘We are thrilled to receive the Best Partnership award. In collaboration with LDN Apprenticeships we have joined forces to overcome challenges and as a result seen apprentices excel and achieve impressive pass rates. This recognition is a powerful endorsement of shared purpose when it comes to delivering a positive experience for apprentices and their employers.
Rhiannon Christie, Delivery Director at LDN Apprenticeship said, “We’re proud to work alongside BCS in a partnership that truly puts apprentices first. By combining our expertise and shared commitment to quality, we’ve been able to improve assessment experiences and deliver outstanding outcomes for learners and employers. Winning this award is a testament to what can be achieved when collaboration drives innovation and impact.”
Origins of the partnership
The partnership between BCS and LDN Apprenticeships has grown into a model of what can be achieved when an Awarding Organisation (AO) / End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and a training provider work in true alignment.
Together, the two organisations have launched and delivered two new apprenticeship standards, Multi-Channel Marketer (MCM) and Digital Learning Designer (DLD), with a shared commitment to quality, innovation and learner success.

This collaboration has been defined by open communication and mutual trust. Regular dialogue between teams has enabled both organisations to respond quickly to challenges and continuously improve the apprenticeship experience. One notable example came during the rollout of the MCM standard, when LDN raised concerns about the relevance of example projects in the official assessment plan. BCS responded by gathering evidence, co-developing improved examples, and successfully advocating for changes at the national level. The result was a revised assessment plan that better reflects real-world tasks and benefits apprentices nationwide.
A partnership with impact
The impact of this partnership is clear in the results. Both the DLD and MCM programmes have consistently achieved high pass rates, with a significant proportion earning distinctions. Over the past three academic years, overall pass rates for LDN apprentices assessed by BCS have remained consistently strong. These outcomes are a testament to the strength of the partnership and the support provided to learners throughout their journey.
Employers and apprentices alike have praised the responsiveness and clarity of the BCS-LDN relationship. From flexible assessment scheduling to the introduction of familiar assessors, every improvement has been designed to reduce stress and enhance performance.
Policy making
Beyond delivery, the partnership has driven sector-wide improvements. BCS and LDN have co-developed a new provider portal, streamlined the sign-off project process, and improved EPA scheduling systems. They have also worked together to celebrate learner success stories, raising awareness of digital apprenticeships and inspiring future talent. LDN’s CEO’s involvement in BCS’s policy group has ensured that provider perspectives are heard at the highest levels of digital skills policy-making.
At its heart, this partnership is about empowering apprentices. Through tailored support, clear guidance, and access to professional development opportunities, BCS and LDN have created an environment where learners not only pass but also thrive.
Winning the Best Partnership award is a recognition of the dedication, innovation and shared purpose that define this collaboration. Together, BCS and LDN are not only delivering results, they are transforming lives through training and assessing apprentices, and supporting a pipeline of competent professionals into the workforce.
