David Reynolds

Chair - David Reynolds

David Reynolds is an independent IT Management Consultant. He has an MBA and over 30 years in IS/IT and business change in a wide range of market sectors (including FMCG, Defence, Clothing, IT Services, Retail, Rail, Local Government) and IS functions - including setting up and managing project management departments. His company, KatAlyst Limited, provides IS and business consultancy and resources. He and his consultancy team have a strong interest in the people issues of managing change.

As the chair of PROMS-G, David ensures that members are provided with relevant information on current issues and PM techniques, as well as providing a forum for sharing best practice, lessons learned, etc., in order to enhance the professional status of Project Management within the IT and related industries.

Secretary - Paula Clarendon

Paula has 20+ years wide ranging customer focused IT experience of Project Management, Product Development, Training, and Technical Support. Her strategic management, organisational, and commercial awareness skills were developed and utilised in roles across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors.

As someone who is naturally curious and a lifelong learner, Paula is an active member of the BCS.

She enjoys utilising her skills and experience for the benefit of the membership through her involvement on the PROMS-G Committee and the Member Board Policy Committee.

Paula has been a member of the Project Management Specialist Group (PROMS-G) committee for five years, and the PROMS-G Secretary for the last three years. As Secretary she organises and oversees monthly meetings that assist the committee in achieving its goals and objectives. E.g. By ensuring decisions are recorded and implemented, so the PROMS-G committee can respond effectively to changing requirements.

Paula proactively seeks feedback from the membership in order to advocate the views and interests of the PROMS-G community.

Terry Freedman

Treasurer - Terry Freedman

Terry Is an independent Business-IT Consultant.  Terry has experience in managing projects and business analysis in both public and private sectors working in continental Europe, the USA and the UK. Terry is very active in many BCS specialist groups serving on the BCS Member Board groups as well as on BCS Council. Terry joined the PROMS-G committee as Programme Manager until 2006 to contribute to the development of programmes of events beneficial to our members and their guests.

As Treasurer, he is responsible for keeping financial records of the group's activities, monitoring spend and preparing the annual budgets.

Membership Secretary - Sarah Swanson

Sarah Swanson started her career in IT as a developer with BARIC (an ICL and Barclays joint venture) progressing through various technical roles into project management She has subsequently worked as a Project Manager for British Gas, London Electricity, Reuters and the Metropolitan Police. She helped to organise the first two national Women and Computing Conferences in the early 80s and was a founder member of the Women's Computer Centre in London. She also contributed to the Equal Opportunities Commission's booklet on women in computing published in the 1980's.

Sarah's Membership Secretary role includes monitoring the membership and subscription lists, and dealing with matters around Project Manager Today magazine.

Jonathan ensures that information relating to PROMS-G and its activities is disseminated to the appropriate parties. PROMS-G events, joint regional events and other events of interest are communicated via the publicity channels as well as liaising with members on any other arising matters.
