SYNOPSIS
Enterprise Architecture Modelling can be a complicated topic, especially when considering the requirements of the wider organisation outside of IT Architects. It becomes more complicated when incorporating a relationship to the Configuration Management DataBase; detailing all relevant information about the hardware and software components used in an organization's IT services and the relationships between those components.

Karen will be sharing her experiences of both EA modelling and CMDB interfaces, including some of the mistakes made as part of this process and sharing where they are now.

Karen Dawson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/karen-dawson-3a30046/)is an Enterprise Architect working in the Utilities sector. Karen has worked in the same industry for 20 years as a Developer, Application Architect and an Enterprise Architect a position she has held for the last 9 years. During that time Karen has experienced a wide range of changes to the organisation, and different demands placed on the IT Architecture community. Karen has also been closely involved in implementing 2 different Enterprise Asset Management systems, each interfacing to a CMDB.
