SYNOPSIS
Games, the technology and the psychology behind them are becoming an integral part of our experiences at work and at home. The games industry on its own is huge, with multi-billion-dollar properties and brands and it is a technical and creative powerhouse. Elements of gameplay are working their way into our everyday activities such as leader boards on fitness trackers. E-sports is growing across the world too, creating an eco-system of paying professional roles, coaches, players and commentators. We can learn skills in Virtual Reality and use them with digital assistance in Augmented Reality. In this session we look at the diverse range of games ideas and gamification impacting work as much as play.
