This talk will introduce national security and the challenges it presents for science and technology. It will look at what it means to secure an 'edge' for the UK and how to keep citizens safe in a complex and contested global environment. The talk will look in particular at the digital environment and at frontier technologies that pose threats to UK national security and provide opportunities for strategic advantage.
