Synopsis

Pete has worked in computing and electronics for over five decades. During the first 30 years of his career he encountered some weird and wonderful systems and had some unusual adventures along the way. He was there for the birth of the home computer, early commercial networks and the first Internet connections in Sussex.

Join us for an entertaining and educational journey, as well as some amusing stories!

About the speaker

Peter Wood FBCS CITP CISSP, Partner & Lead Consultant at Naturally Cyber LLP

Pete’s career includes network security, social engineering, threat and risk analysis, red teaming, industrial control systems and electronics.

He founded First Base Technologies, the UK’s first cybersecurity consultancy, in 1989 and provided security testing and guidance for businesses of all sizes for more than 28 years.

He is also a member of CIISec, ISACA and Mensa, and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Sussex, teaching cybersecurity.

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.
