This will be a 30-minute presentation, with the opportunity to ask questions at the end.

About the speakers

Kate Marshall
Kate is a Technical Consultant and IBM Quantum Ambassador, working closely with energy and utilities clients across Europe to communicate the potential of Quantum Computation to such a fast-moving industry and beyond. Coming from a background in Physics research, Kate's primary interests lie in Quantum mechanics, and the theoretical side of Quantum communication and computation. Kate also represents IBM as a Qiskit Advocate and IBM Certified Quantum Developer, focusing on education and outreach, by working with real Quantum computers via the Cloud.

Will Simmons
Will is a Software Developer and Quantum Ambassador at IBM. With a background in Quantum Physics and Quantum Information Theory, he works with clients in the Telecomms industry to expose the potential of Quantum Computing. His main interests are in the optimisation of Quantum circuit design and the application of Quantum algorithms. He joined IBM one year ago after graduating from the University of Bristol with an MSci in Physics.
