Synopsis
Sean Rafter will explain the ways that BCS certification can support the development of Business Analysis and will describe the different ways that training courses can be delivered.
He will call on his experience as a BCS-certified training provider to reflect on the current state of Business Analysis. From the perspective of the BCS syllabus – and his own insights – he will discuss the reasons that businesses employ business analysts and examine the competencies and skills that enable someone to perform well in that role. Sean will explain how the BCS Business Analysis syllabus fits within the SFIA framework. He will also discuss the characteristics of modern apprenticeships.
This event will provide valuable information for those who wish to take the role of Business Analyst and for those who are responsible for forming training plans for their team or organisation.
About the speaker
Sean Rafter is Head of Curriculum – Data & Business Analysis – at a successful provider of courses for BCS Professional Certifications. He designs and curates the learning & support elements for Data Technician, Data Analyst and Business Analyst training. He actively supports apprentices and employers on apprenticeship programmes. His experience includes Analyst roles with British Transport Police and Greater Manchester Police.
