Synopsis

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we build technology, but the principles of professional best practice remain as vital as ever. In this talk, we’ll share how the RITTech-accredited apprenticeship gave the foundations to thrive in an AI-driven world - combining technical expertise with ethical responsibility.

We’ll explore why traditional software development disciplines are essential in an era of machine learning and automation. These practices will be connected to Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles and BCS ethical frameworks, showing how they complement modern AI development and help prevent bias, protect data, and keep humans in the loop.

The message is clear: RITTech and foundational best practices aren’t relics - they’re the compass guiding us through an ever-evolving landscape of AI.
