Nandita Giri is a distinguished Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience at leading technology companies, including Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon.
As a founding member of WomenTech and an active IEEE Senior Member, she combines technical excellence with passionate advocacy for women in technology while specializing in cutting-edge Agentic AI and Automation solutions.
Pietra Ferreira currently leads Embecosm’s work on Artificial Intelligence for teenagers, focusing on Machine Learning and Deep Learning involving the Google development board. Pietra’s work also focuses on CORE-V tool chains.
Having been born in Brazil, Pietra is fully bilingual in Portuguese and English.
Ms Ferreira is a graduate of Brunel University London, where they achieved First Class Honours in Computer Science.
Silifat Usman is an accomplished multi diverse professional with three Master’s degrees—an MBA in Business Management, an MSc in Financial Management (Technology), and most recently, an MSc in Supply Chain Management with Distinction from Kingston University.
She also holds certifications in Technology and IT, reflecting her strong foundation in digital innovation and business transformation. She is a Business Improvement Specialist.
Currently serving as the Chair of the BCS Open Source Specialist Group (OSSG), Silifat applies her leadership, management, and technical expertise to revitalise the committee and strengthen its impact within the wider community. Prior to this, she was the Treasurer of the OSSG, where she successfully established sustainable financial reporting and analysis practices that improved transparency and long-term stability.
Within the BCS OSSG, Silifat has demonstrated the ability to bridge the worlds of management, technology, and leadership, making her a dynamic contributor to the BCS community and beyond
