Synopsis
What will this presentation cover?
- The early history of Artificial Intelligence, through the 1960s,70s and 80s, distinguishing between statistical large language models and semantic approaches and how semantic techniques have addressed decision-making tasks, with applications to complex threat analysis and mitigation in the cyber field.
- How Quantum information processing provides the opportunity for Hierarchical Task Network decision-making to scale to complex, global tasks.
- How a threat actor's critical operational security mistake provided a real-time view into their operation via intercepted screenshots and keystroke logs, allowed for the complete mapping of the actor's infrastructure and uncovered links to broader phishing campaigns.
