Tom is the Editor for Computing, where he has been covering the UK IT market since 2017. He is an industry veteran, writing his first tech story back in the mists of 2011, and specialises in covering topics around sustainable IT, diversity and Web3 developments like blockchain and the metaverse.
Tom regularly chats to leading IT professionals around the world, from companies both large and small, keeping a finger on the pulse of the technology space. He is always on the lookout for the newest market trends that affect IT leaders in the UK and worldwide.
Tom has previously written for a variety of B2B titles, including those serving the jewellery, pet and funeral industries - and yes, he's heard all the jokes. Often spotted with a notebook, grumbling about the Oxford comma.

Kevin Streater - Chief Operating Officer, Chartered Institute of Information Security
Kevin Streater is a seasoned leader in IT and Cyber Security who supports organisations in advancing professional development and optimizing operational efficiency. He has led professional education organisations for over twenty-five years most recently as a global VP at ForgeRock, an identity and access management vendor where he set up and led the training and community organisation. Prior to that, Kevin was Executive Director – IT & Telecoms Industry at The Open University, and Customer Education Manager at Sun Microsystems.
Kevin holds a BSc.(Hons) in Computer Science from City University, London, and an MBA from The Open University and is a Chartered IT Professional and Chartered Manager and has been a moderator for the BCS UK IT Industry Awards for over a decade.
With extensive experience in IT and Cyber Security, Kevin helps organisations enhance professional development and improve effectiveness. His background in launching new ventures enables him to provide valuable insights and mission-critical support for clients’ strategic goals. He specialises in aligning skills frameworks and clarifying professional development pathways, managing complex programmes to drive organisational performance.
