Synopsis
As AI agents move from experimentation into production, organisations need to manage them not only as AI models but also as operational IT assets and production services.
This session will examine what should actually be governed across an agent’s lifecycle: models, prompts, tools, data access, service dependencies, permissions, configuration, observability, reliability, incident response, rollback, cost attribution, and retirement.
It will connect emerging agentic-AI practices with established IT asset management, service management, CMDB, FinOps, and operational-resilience disciplines, with a practical focus on how organisations can introduce autonomous software without creating an unmanaged operational layer.
About the speaker
Tejas Pravinbhai Patel is a software engineer at Amazon specializing in artificial intelligence, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and large-scale production software.
He is an IEEE Senior Member and serves as Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Dallas Chapter and Chair of the ACM Irving Chapter.
He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, completed more than 250 scholarly peer reviews, and regularly contributes to technical conferences, professional communities, and industry-focused discussions on reliable AI and large-scale systems.
