Synopsis
Good strategies often fail at the point where they must become coordinated work, decisions and adoption.
This practical, interactive session helps change professionals diagnose where delivery breaks down and apply simple interventions that improve alignment, governance, leadership behaviour and execution readiness.
Transformation rarely fails because people lack activity. It usually fails because strategic intent is weakened as it moves through funding, governance, delivery teams, operational readiness and adoption. The result is familiar to many change professionals: unclear priorities, slow decisions, misaligned stakeholders, over-loaded teams, late adoption risks and benefits that remain difficult to prove.
This interactive session examines why delivery breaks down and how change professionals can intervene earlier. It will explore four common failure points: strategy that is not executable, governance that reports more than it decides, leadership behaviour that contradicts the change, and adoption that is treated as communications and training rather than a controlled change in work.
Participants will be introduced to a simple Execution Bridge model covering five practical rails: direction, decisions, delivery, adoption and learning.
The session will then show how to use that model to ask sharper questions, surface risk earlier and strengthen the link between programme delivery and business readiness.
The session is designed for practitioners. The aim is to sharpen professional judgement and give participants a practical way to make execution risks visible, discussable and actionable.
About the speaker
Ayorinde (Ayo) Thompson John is a change and transformation professional with experience supporting complex business, technology and operating model change. She is also the Founder of Kiribexa, where her work focuses on business readiness, stakeholder alignment, governance, adoption and execution discipline.
Through Kiribexa, she helps organisations move from strategic intent to practical delivery by making risks, decisions and behavioural dependencies visible earlier.
Ayo brings a practitioner-led perspective shaped by transformation work in complex corporate and non-corporate environments, and a current founder lens focused on responsible, people-centred digital and organisational change.
