Welcome to our branch!

We arrange a varied programme of events and invite expert speakers to share their insight on.

Everyone is welcome, members and non-members alike - it would be great to see you at our next meet-up!.

If you have ideas for our forthcoming programme or would like to get involved, please get in touch with us at: swales-chair@bcs.org.uk.

About us

We aim to create a programme of events to support professional development of members and knowledge sharing within our community and championing best practice.

The branch is run by a committee of volunteers and we are committed to working with organisations, schools and colleges to raise the profile of computing and IT in the local area.

Our STEM and Lego Mindstorms Working Group aims to encourage and inspire young people, their leaders and teachers to use robotics as part of the taught curriculum. The Group is developing online resources to help young people understand what robots are, how to build and program small robots and how this relates to the STEM curriculum.
