About the role
As a Business Intelligence Analyst at BCS, you will produce the monthly Performance Review, delivering accurate insights on our efficiency, market position, and the performance of our products and services. You will collect, validate, and analyse data from internal and external sources, turning complex information into actionable reports. You will also create financial and market intelligence, using dataquerying techniques, third-party sources, and web-scraping where applicable. By identifying historical trends, you will support business forecasting and help shape datadriven decisions that drive growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for collecting and analysing numerical information for further presentation using diagrams, tables, charts, graphs, and reports.
- Collate, report and analyse statistical information for management. Provide analysis of selected data segmentation on request from sales and marketing to support their campaigns.
- Identify and analyse industry or geographic trends in alignment with business strategy.
- Assist with queries from across the business relating to data analysis, trend reporting and other statistical information.
- Create different methods/visuals to present business intelligence data dependant on audience.
- Assist the Business Intelligence Developer in the implementation and maintenance of reporting processes, supporting Senior Management’s decision making demands.
- Coordinate the production of the monthly performance review with key areas of the business, ensuring that the monthly deadline is met.
- Assist in the maintenance of business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
- Continually looking at ways to make improvements to Business Intelligence systems, processes and procedures.
- Applying a consistent, co-ordinated approach to data management, analysis and application of data integrity techniques/tools.
- Ensure that internal use of corporate/commercial personal data
complies stringently with contractual terms & conditions: there are serious legal implications for breach of such contractual terms. Monitor compliance and refer potential issues to Line Manager for remedy. - Apply awareness of data protection implications when producing, maintaining and managing data lists, including detailed knowledge of all data licenses purchased, e.g. time limits for its use.
- Work closely with other teams and managers within the business to gather requirements and understandings for reporting on key performance indicators.
- Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager/Divisional Director.

Who are we looking for?
- Graduate with a degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience in a data related role
- Data Modelling using data techniques, tools and applications
- Understanding and navigating CRM
systems - Experience of being in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills or the ability
to apply critical-thinking. - Advanced level user of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI.
- Proactive at identifying problems with data and proposing solutions and improvements.
- Ability to present results and findings to line management and
staff. - Able to focus on internal customers, respond to their needs and obtain co-operation, especially to ensure they work within process.
- Able to build credibility and trust and focus offerings on benefits to the business.
- Good understanding of Data Protection legislation and implementing.
- Best practice concerning the handling of data.
Desirable
- Knowledge and demonstratable ability with database technologies such as SQL. Ability to analyse and query data using a scripting language e.g. Python.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and NetSuite ERP.
- Knowledge and awareness of Cloud computing principles e.g. AWS, Azure etc
- Some offsite visits to clients, partners and suppliers may be required
- Travel to other BCS offices may be required
